Writing Diary # 2

At 12:30 a.m., cold and tired from a big day at our local fall fair and a birthday party,  I started my next story about an old mean guy and realized it comes from an incident a very long time ago that was like a standoff between good and evil .What I wrote tonight started out as a simple account but ended up  with a weird sensation  of this evil feeling still heavy in the air.The piece isn’t finished and I don’t know where it is going but I’ve had enough of the creepy, old, mean son of a gun for one night. I realized that I will have to start getting used to these dark characters  if I intend to spend almost a month getting them to take shape in my stories. At the fair today I ran into some folks that I used for inspiration in my first story. Coincidence………? They said hello and asked me what I was doing with my retirement  time . I told them I was doing some creative stuff. One of them turned slowly  to face me , and said in a slow , deliberate manner…..”……that doesn’t surprise me…..at all…….”. I bet he wondered why I had a little smirk on my face.
